KORIE GENIUS, one of the premier Dancehall instructors of New York is FINALLY coming to the Bay to share his choreographic brilliance with all of us. Ready yourself to be delightfully challenged by his very humble yet New York state-of-mind class.
Korie Genius was born in Kingston, Jamaica and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He has studied various styles of hip hop, and specializes in Dancehall as well as styles like Flexing, Krumping and Popping. Korie is always open to new styles and new ideas. He loves to broaden his visions of dance every day by taking classes and train with the best choreographers in the city.
He has been performing for over a decade in various venues all around America.
Korie has been seen on the CBS morning show performing with reggae artist Mr.Vegas (2010), with reggae artist Mr.Lexx in Orlando Florida (2010) and international reggae, soca, hiphop artist Bunji Garlin “Brrrt”. He has choreographed and danced in music videos for Nikhil P. Yerawadekar & Low Mentality “Run Fast” (2013) “Chi-ching” by Chairlift (2015) principal dancer in “Made For Now” by Janet Jackson & Daddy Yankee (2017) . Korie has performed at numerous shows around the tristate area such as Sirens After Dark by Rhapsody James, Sybarite Collective and Carnival, to name a few.
Currently he works with his company BlackGold who performs and teaches dance nationwide. Korie has been teaching children and adults for many years at some of New York’s most prestige dance schools such as Broadway Dance Center and Peridance Capezio Center. He makes his classes fun and positive, allowing everyone to bring out their personalities into their dance.
Korie is a growing artist that always strives for the best. His goal is to pass on his passion and unique style as well as making an impact with his dancing and good vibe :)

TropiCali Dancehall a.k.a Aimee Rose is a self-proclaimed cultural ambassador for Jamaican Dancehall dance in the Bay Area. Since 2014 Aimee, has been traveling back and forth between Kingston, Jamaica and the Bay learning as much dance as she can while in the motherland and bringing this back to share with her community in the Bay. In JA she has studies with, admires, and supports Black Eagles, Supreme Blazers, Xqlusiv Crew, Kriptic Klique, Hectic Dymondz, Elite Team, Rifical Team, Get there Squad, Colo Colo, Boysie Black Roses, Kimiko Versatile, Latonya Style, Queen Latesha, Jackhammer girls, Dancing Rebel, Kaytii Insanity and so many more (look them up, like, and share).
In the Bay Area, Aimee has hosted top Jamaican and international dancehall dancers such as Kimiko Versatile (JA), Boysie Roses (JA), Latonya Style (JA), Queen Latesha (JA), Rahmus Rifical (JA), Godzilla Boss OG (JA), Rollx Hectic Dymondz (JA), Nadiah NfuZion (AU), Katerina Trotskya (RU), Jay-C Val (FR), and Betty Rox (USA). As well as guided trips to Jamaica (#Bay2Ja) for dancehall dance tourist to experience classes, real dancehall parties, and beautiful Jamaica.
Aimee's performance group, The QuintEssentials, has opened for such reggae and dancehall artists such as Christopher Martin, Alborosie, and Cham. She has also choreographed or contributed choreography to artist videos such as Macka Diamond, Zanni, Easi Money, Los Rakas, MC Rai, and Bayonics.
